Step 4: Case report submission
If you have fulfilled all steps as shown on the left, you can apply for the Reckeweg Clinical Case Award competition by filling in the form below. The application period is open from April 01, 2022 until February 28, 2023. After this period is closed, your application will be evaluated by the international review panel. You will be informed about the decision in September 2023. We wish you good luck!
Important notice: First, you have to publish your case report in a peer-reviewed medical journal or post it on a preprint platform. In both cases you’ll receive a DOI. Examples of preprint platforms are SSRN.com (only in English), preprints.ru (in Russian), OSF.io (currently no language restriction), and preprints.scielo.org (in English, Spanish, and Portuguese). Although not a preprint platform, figshare.com also allows posting scientific information in any language. All these platforms require seperate registration. Some universities have their own preprint platforms for their members.
Submit and publish your case
By submitting your clinical experience in the form of a case report to a preprint platform or a medical journal, you become an author and get recognized by others. Outstanding clinical work and study deserve visibility and acknowledgement.
Share your medical experience
Your case report represents a resource for other practitioners, researchers or epidemiologists. It may contribute to treatment options for patients, future study hypotheses or identifying new emerging diseases.
