(1) Extended access to the website content is granted via a double opt-in registration provided by the external services of CleverReach GmbH & Co. KG, Germany (Legal Notice). After supplying your email address, you will receive an email with a confirmation link. By clicking on this link, you confirm that you want to register on our website.

Logins are carried out by matching the transmitted email address with the existing list concerning this website.

(1) Personal data such as data on author (i.e. name (first and last name, email, specialty, affiliation, address (address line, city, postal code, state, country) signature) are processed in the context of the submission and further processing of the clinical case report for the Hans-Heinrich Reckeweg Clinical Case Award.

We process the above-mentioned data for the following purposes:

  • Participation in the award
  • Confirmation of participation in the award and sending further information regarding the award (e.g. presentation of winning cases and travel arrangements) by email
  • Contact for further questions

(3) The data shall be deleted as soon as it is no longer needed to fulfil the purpose for which it was collected. The data shall also be deleted if you withdraw your consent.

1.5 Integration of Vimeo videos

We have embedded videos on our website that are stored on the Vimeo video platform and can be played directly on our website. Vimeo is a multimedia service provided by Vimeo, Inc., 555 West 18th Street, New York 10011, USA (“Vimeo”). In order for videos to be integrated and displayed in your web browser, your web browser must connect to a Vimeo server, which may also be located in the USA, when you access subpages with Vimeo videos.

The legal basis for the embedding is your consent, which you may have given in the cookie banner for data processing in accordance with Art. 6 Para 1 (1) Letter a of the GDPR. The submitted personal data (e.g. award data or contact data), will be accessed by the award committee and award related personnel to process general requests and award submissions.

We are entitled to inform the press about the presentation of the award, the award winner(s) and all clinical case studies submitted for the award.

We use external IT service providers for maintenance and security purposes according to Art. 28 of the GDPR. These service providers have been carefully selected by us and are bound by our instructions.

(2) Outside the EU/EEA – third country:
As a basic rule, no data are forwarded to recipients in third countries, apart from data processing by Vimeo as explained under point 1.5 and by Google as explained under point 4.

6. Your rights

(1) You have the following rights in regard to your personal data:

    Right of access to your personal data that is stored by us.
  • Art. 16 of the GDPR Right to rectification
    Right to rectification of your personal data that is inaccurate.
  • Art. 17 of the GDPR Right to erasure

    If certain conditions are met, you have the right to restriction of processing of your personal data and these will not be processed further.
